Why is my photo so flat?

It’s only natural. Digital cameras have a basic problem. They use a single sensor.
You just can’t replace it with another one that works differently. Isn’t it a drag?…?
All photos are treated exactly the same…
What happens when you want that “extra boost” (maybe look for a dial that goes up to 11…)?
Unfortunately, there’s just nothing you can do in the camera. It stays flat as ever.

No More!

PSKiss Clarté is the filter that boosts shadow contrast in your photo,
without creating annoying halos around the edges.

You don’t need to worry about complicated sequences or mysterious workflows.
Just go to the Filter menu, choose PSKiss Clarté and in the dialog box and drag to the right to deepen your image.

Yep. It’s that simple.

The coolest thing is that you can drag it to the left and soften your image!
The only place you can do that in Photoshop is the Camera Raw window, but it can only be used before you open your photo. What if you need to work just on one layer? Well…

Now, please look at these examples:

This spring flowers photo was taken just around the block from my house, while taking an afternoon walk with my wife. Lighting conditions were not perfect, I didn’t carry any flash, so it turned out totally flat. My wife was disappointed because she really liked this photo. So what could I do except run Clarté on it?…?

The original image:

After applying PSKiss Clarté (using +75 value in the dialog box):

The next image of my father, was taken just before his 70th birthday (way to go, Dad!). Due to the fact I had to hide the purpose of that photo session, no sophisticated camera gear could be used. The result, as expected, a rather flat photo. Now go ahead and use it at his surprise birthday party…:

Applying PSKiss Clarté (using +36 in the dialog box), made it much better:

As mentioned before, the coolest thing about Clarté, is that it works both ways. If you want to soften your image, simply drag the slider to the left. I’ve got to admit – this is one of my favorites!

This next photo was taken in a studio and came out to “sharp” for me. I thought a softer appearance is best for it:

Applying PSKiss Clarté (using -36 in the dialog box), gave it the soft touch:

When you use PSKiss Clarté, you will notice that it affects your image smoothly and gently, regardless of its image size. This filter contains a special formula that treats each photo according to its size!
You can apply it to the same photo in different sizes using the same level and you will get perfect results in each one of them!
No need to bother about that, as well. Simple and Smart at its best (and save even more time and effort)!

Don’t forget that PSKiss Clarté, as all PS Kiss tools, creates a separate layer leaving your original image untouched and unharmed.

Even after you clicked “Done”, you don’t need to start all over again any time you want to try a different setup.
Just go to the History panel. You will find all the setups you’ve tried in the dialog box.
PSKiss filters, remember everything for you so you can be concentrated with what’s really important – your work!
