PS Kiss xPro Efecto

That smell!! Ooh, that SMELL!!!

Does anybody remember the smell of chemicals?…?
Back in the old film days, you could develop films in the wrong chemical. The result was mainly twisted colors plus some other manipulations of the photo. This had some problems. First of all, you needed a lab… Then, you had to know which wrong chemical will get you the results you wanted. Then, you had to pray that nothing goes wrong. Once you processed your film, there is no way back…

So, process it digitally!

Thats exactly the reason you want to use PS Kiss xPro Efecto:

  • You don’t need any prior knowledge of chemistry
  • You don’t have to buy a lab
  • You don’t need to work in a darkroom
  • You don’t need to buy a film camera…

Lets get positive…:

  • You just open PSKiss xPro Efecto dialog box from the Filter menu
  • You just choose one of the four options and click “Apply”

Yes, it’s that simple!

Please, take a look at these examples:

After looking at this photo, I felt it was kind of “out of time”. An image that isn’t related to a specific era…
The perfect candidate for cross processing…

After applying xPro Efecto – Amarillo (that’s Yellow, in spanish):

After applying xPro Efecto – Rojo (that’s Red, in spanish):

After applying xPro Efecto – Verde (that’s Green, in spanish):

After applying xPro Efecto – Verdoso (that’s Greenish, in spanish):

Now all that’s left to do, is to pick the one that that fits best and apply it to the wrest of your project (if there is one…). Don’t forget that PSKiss filters work on a separate layers. You can always choose different blending modes or change the opacity and get an endless number of variations to these effects (without spending another dime…).

See how it works:

I really like this old lonesome tree:

After applying xPro Efecto – Amarillo, it has turned yellow, as expected:

What if you want it to be blueish?…?
Don’t worry, be happy and change the new layer’s blending mode to Darker Color:

If you just want to colorize your image but still maintain the original contrast, change the blending mode to Color:

I guess I made my point by now, didn’t I? Keep experimenting with layer blending modes, until you come familiar with the way they blend colors and luminosity. This is one of the most powerful tools in Photoshop! Because each and every PS Kiss filter works on a separate layer, you can add numerous variations to these effects, just by changing blending modes and opacity of this new layer.
